After months of training the athletes were ready to show what they were made of. The events were set out and everyone was challenged to step up to the start line and have FUN!!!!
It started with running, then the egg and spoon which was gladly interrupted by an ice-cream van. 99's went down smoothly before the serious events of the sack race and 3 legged race began. There was hopping. There was falling. There was limping over the finishing line. It was a sight to behold. How brilliant are the young athletes of Straide? What a future??
The day finished off with CHIPS. School was never like this!!!
